Why 2026 Calendars are the Best Gifts

A lighthouse window with a view to the sea stands guard at the mouth of the Piscataqua River to help guide sailor's home.Happy day after Thanksgiving. As I am sitting here having my morning coffee, I have been reflecting on the different ways my customers share with me how they display their calendars. For instance, one customer who lives in Naples Florida told me that she gets the small 5 x 7 calendar so that she can put up three calendar months just above the towel rack in her guest bathroom. She said she does this so that they know when they came and when it’s time to leave. She said, especially during the winter visits!  I found that a little amusing and I thought I’d share that idea. Because some of you may be having the same problem.

Then with the large calendar, some people have room for six months up at a time, or three months or they just have room for the current month. Hence the great frame that was designed for these calendars that holds all 12 months at once!  I will be forever grateful to Barbara Ford Doyle, who introduced me to this calendar frame that I just mentioned.

When I was working at the law office as a paralegal, estate planning to be exact, we had six months up at a time. We had the past month present and for future months. The client seemed to really love it, especially when they were trying to plan when they would come back to sign documents. Then personally at my house I had three months up at a time, past present and future calendar months all hung right in a row with about a half inch between each frame.

The good news is, that no matter where the calendar is hung or how it is displayed it still has that unique feeling of a new painting every month. And it is truly the gift that keeps on giving all year. Every time the next calendar month goes up people think of the person who gave it to them. And that’s a good thing, right?!

I have to get to work now… You know these paintings really don’t make themselves unless I’m there behind the brush. Big hug to y’all. And best of holidays… Wendy.
