My poor mother… To wake up to taffy strung from one cabinet door to another. I’m surprise she didn’t put me out in the cold right then and there. Of course, I was trying to surprise her… Well I did that. That was my first attempt at cooking and fortunately it didn’t hamper me moving on from there.
The recipes included in this cookbook are ones that I use all the time. And time is the operative word here I don’t have a lot of it, so a quick recipe is wonderful! If you love lobster, you need to try Ben’s lobster pie. It is so lobsterie’ and buttery! Must be the Ritz crackers ... LOL. And having grown up on the coast of Maine and eaten a lot of lobsters as well as lobster pies, it is one of the best that I have ever had.
Small Bites is only about 8“ x 10“. It has a page on build your pantry, so you know what foods to buy for the recipes. Of course it has a table of contents that is broken into appetizers, soups, salads, Fish and shellfish, meats and poultry, dressing and sauces, desserts and suites, and last but should be first breakfast. In all it’s about 70 pages. It has a spiral binder so it’s easier to keep open to.
